Full Time Software Tester in Lower Parel, Mumbai
As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for validating the functionality, usability, performance, reliability and security of our software products (including our LYF ERP platform). You will work closely with developers, business analysts and project managers to define test plans, execute test cases, log defects and verify fixes. Your work will directly impact our product quality, client satisfaction, and software rollout success.
Key Responsibilities

- Review requirements (user stories, functional specifications, acceptance criteria) to identify testable conditions and define test scenarios.

- Design, develop and maintain test cases (manual and/or automated) covering functional, regression, integration, user interface, usability and performance testing.

- Execute test cases, log defects in the defect-tracking tool, retest fixes and ensure closure of issues.

- Work with the development team to reproduce, isolate and provide sufficient detail for defect resolution.

- Maintain test data sets, test environments and ensure proper configuration for testing.

- Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospective sessions; raise test-risks and quality-concerns proactively.

- Continuously track and report test progress, defect metrics, and quality status to project stakeholders.

- Contribute to process improvement: test automation strategy, test-coverage measurement, test‐data management, CI/CD pipeline integration of tests.

- Ensure that releases meet quality standards and are ready for deployment, supporting post-release validation and bug hot-fix triage where required.
Desired Profile

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).

- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in software testing for web and/or mobile applications.

- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC (Software Development & Testing Life Cycles).

- Experience in manual testing: functional, usability, regression, integration.

- Experience with test automation (preferred): e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Cypress, or equivalent.

- Familiarity with one or more defect-tracking / test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, TestRail).

- Ability to write clear, concise and comprehensive bug reports — including steps to reproduce, expected vs actual behavior, screenshots/video capture.

- Knowledge of SQL for validating back-end data, basic scripting skills desirable.

- Familiarity with agile methodology and working in sprints.

- Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to liaise with developers, analysts and clients.

- Analytical mindset, detail-oriented, strong problem-solving skills, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
